After allegedly spraying a fire extinguisher from a second-floor walkway into a Lincolnshire hotel lobby, a Mundelein teenager is facing several charges.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m. New Year’s Eve, according to a Lincolnshire police report. Yahor V. Lasitsa, 18, of Washington Boulevard in Mundelein, had rented a room for New Year’s Eve at a hotel on the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Officers arrived at 1:14 a.m. and arrested Lasitsa, charging him with disorderly conduct, consumption of alcohol by a minor, criminal damage to property and obstructing a peace officer. The report indicates that Lasitsa “battered a police officer on two occasions during the arrest,” earning him a pair of battery charges as well.

He has a Feb. 11 court appearance in Mundelein.
